THIS WEEK IN NAPERVILLE

Here’s a small kindness on the calendar: the community fireworks that got rained out earlier this summer finally get their night on Saturday — proof that around here, we don’t let a little weather have the last word. And with District 203 backpacks coming back out in less than two weeks, this is one of the last wide-open weekends of the summer.

So it’s a loaded one out there — a comedy headliner, two big Sunday concerts, the world’s biggest bounce house, and a festival or three. Here’s everything worth leaving the house for.

In today's issue:

  • Reggae legends UB40 play the Fox River, and the Happy Together Tour turns Sunday into a two-headliner night

  • The rained-out fireworks finally light up Saturday over Frontier Sports Complex

  • The world’s biggest bounce house parks at Cantigny all weekend

  • And much more!

Let's get to it.

AUGUST 7TH - AUGUST 9TH

ALL WEEKEND LONG

🧸 The Big Bounce America rolls into Cantigny Park with what’s billed as the world’s biggest bounce house, plus a whole inflatable playground of slides and obstacle courses. It’s running both days — book a session and let the kids (and, honestly, you) go wild.

🎉 Illinois Vintage Fest takes over the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton all weekend with rows of vintage finds, antiques, records, and makers. Come to hunt for something with a story, stay for the people-watching — it’s a treasure-hunter’s kind of Saturday.

🌱 Veggie Fest fills Danada South Park in Lisle both days, and it’s free — one of the country’s largest vegetarian festivals, with global food, live music, cooking demos, and a genuinely calming wellness corner. You don’t have to be a vegetarian to leave happy and full.
